Horse in Motion

A breakdown of motion as expressed through different materiality, inspired by the eponymous work by Muybridge

A horse runs in a smooth, seamless motion. But when that is recorded as moving image, each frame making up this motion is a moment frozen in time. Here, the horse moves at 11 frames per second. Each frame is created with a different material, emphasizing the makeup of the images when strung together into video.
