Winsome Windows is a concept proposal for the lobby wall of a premium dental center for children in Seoul. Dynamically shifting content that responds to hourly weather data.

The Children’s Dental Center asked for a media art concept that stays on during all open hours, all year-long. This required the content being more than one final linear piece that stays on loop. Winsome Windows answers to this challenge by making the content react and shift to live weather data.

The content is far from data visualization, however. The current weather API decides which of the 6 content pieces play, and it creates an imaginative landscape where the weather element is exaggerated, and children inhabit the landscape.

Ultimately we took a different concept to execution.
